Revolt Blogger ~ Wink ShapeWear Review

Wink ShapeWear helps to give the appearance of a slimmer body. Whether you are
in the process of losing weight, have an outfit you want to fit better in, or have just had a baby there is something for everyone-even men. You can check out all of what they have to offer here.
I reviewed the Wink Tummy Tucker Tank-in white.
I had requested a black one as I wear more dark colored clothing and was not informed a white one was being sent. The color doesn't affect the performance of the item, but it was something I noticed right off the bat. The white tank is on sale currently for $45, down from $64.99. So it's a great time to buy if you are looking for a slimming top.
I really like that it comes down pretty love, and actually sits low on the hips which is nice. I was kinda expecting it to just push the fat down and out to wherever the edge was, but it didn't. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it slimmed my sides (aka muffin top). Nothing hung over which was great. The stomach portion seemed to not compress as well as the sides, but still you could definitely see a difference. It was not uncomfortable to wear, and I did not feel like my insides were being squished too tight or that I was being tortured. It also has a nice thick band around the bottom edge which helps to keep it from riding up while you're wearing it, which is another nice feature.
Here is the product description "
Slim that tummy, blast that belly with Wink's longer tank top that sits below the hips. This longer tank top compresses lower abdomen area and hips that goes to work, to the club with jeans or just to the gym. Sleek, with a low-cut back, our tank top assures just the right support and flatters every figure. Cool, crisp, and clean. "
If you would like to win a Wink ShapeWear Tummy Tucker Tank for yourself,
one will be given away in the Fit Into Summer Giveaway, along with
many other awesome prizes, value at over $1,000. Open to U.S. residents and ends Monday, there will be 3 winners, so hurry over here to enter the simple form & good luck!
Thanks again to Wink ShapeWear.
I was provided a Tummy Tucker Tank for review purposes.
All opinions are 100% honest and mine.

Revolt Blogger ~ Week 12 ~ Bulu Box Review & Revolt Fitness Around Holidays, BBQs, & Birthdays -How to Stay On Track
I wanted to
share with you today a new product, well a new to me product called the BuluBox. It arrives in a cheery orange box and comes with premium samples of fitness or
weight loss products depending on which box you choose.
For just $10 a month
you get an assortment of items to try out. Every month you get a new assortment
of items. Here's a glimpse of what I received for this month.
I love that one of the items is a full size bottle, and it's a product
that I'm excited to try!
It comes with a description card about what products you have received and what they are for, which is great since most are products you may not have even heard of prior to receiving your Bulu Box.
I typically don't find that a chew tastes like what it says, or even tastes good at all for that matter. However this Beauty Burst tasted exactly like mint chocolate and was quite yummy.
It is a collagen chew so it's supposed to help with hair, skin, and nails. This is something I could actually see taking daily.
If you would like to try a Bulu Box for yourself, then you can go here and sign
up for subscription
OR
You can enter the Fit Into Summer Giveaway which ends June 10. It's
valued at over $1000 and there will be three winners chosen at random. To
find out more details and to enter to win go HERE.
You can find Bulu Box on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, & Google+
Good Luck!

You might
wonder how to stay on track with your diet when the holidays roll around, a
barbecue, or birthday parties and I'm going to share with you how to make that
possible with the Revolt Fitness program. You see, Nichole Huntsman made
the Revolt program so that anyone can do it. It is totally customizable
and can fit into the busiest of schedules. During the holidays or celebration
graduation barbecue's birthday parties (the list goes on) is when most people
fall off the fitness wagon. It's easy to indulge or overindulge at certain
get-to-gethers & celebrations as people feel it is justified.
With the
Revolt fitness program however you don't have to feel like you fell off the
fitness wagon. Every week you get a "cheat" day which entitles you to eat
whatever you've been craving or missing during your time on the diet. Now you
don't want to eat until you are sick, but by all means go ahead have that
cookie, have pizza if that's what you want, just don't stuff yourself.
The way
you make the revolt program work for you is to simply schedule your cheat days
on whatever holiday or occasion you need to celebrate. I think the cheat day is
the best part of the program because it really helps you to get what you have
been craving during the week and makes that next week easier to stick to.
Eventually your cheat days will consist of healthy but not strict diet meals or
food items. Say you wanted a smoothie in the morning or a mango for a
snack, you can on your "off" or "cheat" day. It's considered cheating but your body will feel better for it in the
long run if you try to stay healthy on your cheat days, especially when you avoid processed foods.
That's how Revolt can help you stay on track with your diet around special occasions.

Revolt Blogger ~ Week 10 ~ Customize Your Revolt Workouts
If you're like me, you're not big on working out, but revolt has changed my outlook on that. It's more so that I don't know what I'm doing or what would be the most effective work out for my problem area. When I started Revolt 10 weeks ago I had no idea the names of certain exercises, or how heavy of a weight I should use. I didn't know correct form and I didn't know how many reps I needed it was all just so confusing to me. I didn't know who to ask and didn't have the money to spend on a personal trainer. You've heard me talk about Nicole Huntsman's program, Revolt for many reasons because it really does work. Not only does she have daily videos showing you what work out to do for that day and what body part you're working on, but now she's added three levels of difficulty to choose from. Level one is beginner, level two is intermediate, and level three is advanced. If you are new to exercising or just starting on the Revolt program, you should start out at level one and then work your way up. If you don't feel like level one was enough of a challenge, then you simply move up to level two or three. There may even be some exercises that you need a level one while other exercises you can do a level three. The best thing about the program is that you can customize it to your specific needs. If you haven't checked out Revolt yet, I urge you to hop on over HERE and have a look around.
Much Love

Revolt Blogger ~ Week 9 ~ A Few Meals During Your Revolt Journey
So I have realized that I haven't shared any meals with you from the Revolt plan.
So that's what I want to do today.
This week I will share a few meals that you will eat during your Detox week.
(Please note, I am not sharing the recipes. You need to join Revolt to get those :D silly)
So when you start out you will eat a LOT of egg whites,
seriously I had never eaten so many before in my life.
The girls in the community came up with a very yummy way to enjoy your egg whites.
I had just been scrambling them up, until I saw the recipe for the Egg White/Banana Omelet.
And lunch would look something like this Spinach Salad (with carrots and tomatoes)
For the Balsamic Vinaigrette I mixed a packet of the Good Seasons Italian Dressing, then followed the directions with how much oil and vinegar(but I used balsamic instead of white vinegar).
Keep in mind you do get two snacks during the day as well, and after the first week you even get dessert!
Dinner consists of a specific portion of chicken, brussels sprouts, and sweet potatoes.

There is also a huge list of substitutions in case you don't like or can't eat a particular food, so you can customize it more to your liking.
Bottom line is - stick to the plan & do the workouts as Nichole has put together and
You Will See Results!

Revolt Blogger ~ Week 8 ~ How To Get Back On Track When You've Fallen Off? Any Suggestions?
So yes, it is correct...I am having a hard time staying on track with
this or any diet/fitness plan to be exact. The support of the Revolt community is amazing, but I guess
that would be where my problem falls, because I haven't been on facebook as much as I was when
I first started Revolt. There are so many emails flooding my inbox currently, from every time anyone posts anything on the private fb page, to companies for giveaways, and then comments posted to my blog. It's so hard to keep up with everything at the moment, that on top of taking care of my toddlers (2 & 3 yrs old), then doing homework (with my 8 yr old), then taking my soon to be high school student to a few meetings at the new school for next year and trying to plan & juggle with how jammed packed our summer is going to be with all of his practices and such. PLUS keeping up with the house chores, dishes, cooking, and not to forget loads & loads of laundry.
With all of that I have struggled to keep up with the plan this past week, not to mention there have been some technical issues as Revolt is changing to a new & improved website which just adds to
the confusion for me personally.
I guess I just need a swift kick in the rear, but honestly I'd love to get some feedback on what you do to get back on track with a diet or fitness routine when you have fallen into a rut & trying to juggle everything.
Thanks so much!

Revolt Blogger ~ Week 7 ~ aka Week 1 of Revolt 2.0
Good afternoon, I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend :)
As I have posted about Revolt in the past, I want to share with you a little

But this is nothing new, this is how it's always been.

Revolt Blogger ~ Week 6 ~ Regrowing Your Lettuce Hearts
So a couple of weeks ago one of the women in the private Revolt Fb group
posted a tip that you could regrow your own romaine lettuce. I thought it sounded so cool,
especially since I'm not much of a green thumb.
So basically when you get to the end of your romaine heart, you put it in a dish with about an inch of water, which you change out the water every day. You can read more about it from someone who is well into growing their own romaine here. There are pictures showing how fast it grows on there too.
They say that you can do the same with celery and green onions too.....
so I thought hmm, I wonder if it would work for the red leaf lettuce I had just separated from the heart?
So cool! I know it's not much, but it's a start, plus it'll save me a little cash too once I get a few more going. I have a new pack of romaine I'm excited to use so I can start those too, and hey why stop there? I'm going to have to try the celery, and other varieties of lettuce and stalk type vegetables
too. How fun.
Have you ever tried to regrow from a stalk or end of a vegetable? If so, what was it
& did you have success?
Oh and if you haven't checked out Revolt Now Fitness yet,
what are you waiting for. This week starts the 1st week in the next 6 week uprising, called Revolt 2.0.
Nichole Huntsman continues to improve the program and let me tell you, these next 6 weeks are going to be amazing! I am ready to shape up and I will be sharing my progress with you too.
Much Love

Revolt Blogger ~ Week 5 ~ Some Important Tools You Will Need Before You Get Started
OK, so you know I have been doing the Revolt Fitness program
with Nichole Huntsman and as a result I am getting leaner and stronger as a result. Tonight I just want to let you in on some key items you will need to help make
your journey a success!
So before I started, I saw that Nichole recommends a few items to help you measure your progress.
1-a standard scale
2-body fat calipers
3-measuring tape(one that is flexible for circumference measurements)
I thought OK, cool I already have a scale and the measuring tape that should be good enough right?
Well, no. After the second week, I didn't see anymore movement on the scale as I had during the detox week. I saw all of the other (let's call them) Revolters losing body fat and having huge success.
Yes, OK I've had a few slip ups from time to time but I knew in order to stay motivated, I had to get some calipers.
Here's what they look like:

Anyways, so I went on my search to find a pair of these manual body fat calipers......
I tried GNC,
Vitamin World
Academy Sports
Dick's Sporting Goods
.....but none of them carried any type of fat calipers.
So I ordered a pair off of ebay and after another week went by, and I still had no idea what kind of
lean muscle I was gaining, but more importantly I had no true numbers in how much fat I was losing.
Something I was caught off guard with was the extra expenses of the program, which with a family of six, we really need to budget for certain things.
So when everyone was showing off their HRM(heart rate monitors) and how many calories they were burning, I started looking into purchasing one of those.
The brand most of the Revolters are using is Polar. Before Revolt Fitness, I had not even heard of the brand or even used one for that matter. These Polar HRM have different models, and colors, and prices. It can be very confusing for someone with no real knowledge of these types of fitness tools.
So, again I mention the Revolt private Facebook community. I asked which one I should get & why and the replies were exactly what I needed, honest reviews from people who are in the program.
I narrowed down options I needed/could live without and I decided a mid priced model ft7 which retails for around $100(higher models are $130-$150).
I found this one on Amazon.com but at $89, it was still too steep for me to swing financially.
So I waited, and looked around at some stores, and waited,
and then out of nowhere the price dropped another $20.
So I ordered one, along with this digital body fat/mass caliper from Amazon.
Again, another Revolter mentioned she purchased this model on Amazon the week before
and loved it. She said she got hers for $25, when I looked it was down to $16 so I snagged one of those too. She said it was easy to use and accurate, which is definitely a bonus since people had reported the manual calipers to be hard to figure out. For those of you live in Utah, Nichole has hosted body fat measuring get-togethers. That's great to have an expert measure you so you know your numbers are correct, but for me....Georgia is a little far away.
I wouldn't have gone for the digital one because Nichole says they aren't as accurate, but since
there was someone in the group who had used it and said it was, I thought it was better than nothing.
Especially when I still had not received the manual caliper I had ordered a couple of weeks prior.
So I received my Polar ft7 HRM on Friday and my digital caliper should be here by Tuesday.
I am so excited to see the difference in using the correct tools and collecting the combined data to see my true progress!
What is the number one tool you have found to be the most useful in your weight loss journey?
I'd love to hear what has helped you, for me I know seeing the progress will certainly help me stay on track and motivated.
Much Love

Revolt Blogger ~ Week 4 ~ I am Getting Stronger!
It's really an amazing thing to feel yourself getting stronger.
I've never been a big workout kinda girl. I mean, after Jackson was born
-boom, I went right back down to my pre-pregnancy weight without even trying. That was 14 years ago though, a lot has changed since then. But even when Sydney was born, almost 9 years ago, same thing just took a little longer- maybe 3 months. Again though, I didn't workout and I ate what I wanted.
Perhaps that has caught up with me over the years? I'm not sure but after Michaela was born my body didn't have enough time to lose the weight(even if I tried) before I was pregnant with Landon. I gained 40lbs with each pregnancy and have tried a few diets here and there after the last 2 were born, but none have stuck. Either that, or I haven't been able to fully commit.
My husband and I have been switching out the food we were used to purchasing with healthier options. Opting for about 80% being produce, trying to buy from Trader Joe's more often, and staying away from processed foods(pretty much anything that comes in a box). I think those small
changes have made a huge impact on our family.
But I still needed more, more direction, more exercise, more support.
That's where Revolt came in to play.
Nichole Huntsman has made me stronger,
with her daily video workouts-she has made my body stronger,
with her weekly meal plans-she has made me stronger/more aware about what food is OK or not,
with her facebook community-she(and all of the members) have helped me to not give up,
and that has made a huge difference because the support is like nothing I've ever had before with a diet or program.
These are Nichole's before and after pictures
I feel like I have improved so much in such a short amount of time(4 weeks to be exact).
My brain, body, and health are so much stronger as a result of this Revolt and
I am grateful to everyone who has been a part of it and made it happen!
I still have a ways to go, but I feel, for once that my goals are well within reach!
Much Love

Revolt Blogger ~ Week 3 Dieting And Young Children=A Very Challenging Combo
So here I am in week 3 of the Revolt Fitness Program by Nichole Huntsman.
I'm gonna be honest,
(some people may find it a fault to be honest in everything you say, but that's
just how I live)
but if you ever tried working out with little ones under you, or a million
other things that can (and do) pop up to throw a wrench in your fitness routine
or dieting,
then you know what I mean.
The Revolt program does work, and pre making all of your food for the week
helps you stay on the plan & not stray, but my biggest question is......
What do you feed your children when you are on a fitness program like Revolt?
I mean my two older children (ages 14 & 8) go with the flow
and eat whatever we put on their plate.
However, my younger two (ages 3 & 2)......not so much.
So, I don't always cook all of my food for the week, because
well I am at home, so I'd rather cook my meals 2-3 days at a time.
My husband is doing the plan with me, just to share in the experience
and give me another perspective, a man's point of view shall we say?
Anyways, that is where we find the biggest problem with being strict to
a plan. We are a family of 6, on my husband's income & 2 of our children eat like adults.
We have been shopping at Trader Joe's the last few weeks we have been on the Revolt
program, and then we still have to go to Publix for our meats, eggs, milk,
and any other produce we want, and our grocery bill has gone from
$150 a week to $300. That's a huge jump when you're trying to stay in a budget.
I am finding it hard to keep up with the diet, since we can't really plan or prepare, as we don't get the next week's meal plan until a day or two before the next week starts. This plan is great for single men & women because it's easy and you get results fast! I just don't see it being sustainable for me,
as much as I want it to be. When you have young children, or a large family (yes & yes)
you either need more planning or a meal plan that works for the whole family.
There's also the issue of trying to find time to workout when you have a large family. Whether it's trying to schedule it around nap time or getting up before everyone else, but let's face it, that doesn't always happen when you have kids.
Just take your time and give it your all (or all you can that day) and you will reach your goal...
We will reach our goals!
Much Love

Revolt Blogger ~Week 2 ~ Stay Strong, Temptation Is All Around
So here we are, another week down on the Revolt program and I must say it was a much tastier week with the addition of pancakes made with oatmeal, then there was greek yogurt with strawberries, sweet potato fries, and even dessert! I didn't have the ricotta tiramisu as we had missed grabbing the ricotta while at the store, so I just substituted with a whey protein shake. My suggestion to all of you who don't like whey protein, grab the vanilla whey protein from Trader Joe's. I personally cannot stand anything that tastes like vitamins or gritty. This was the first time I'd ever tried whey protein powder and it was very smooth, frothy even, and didn't have a grittiness to it or a weird taste either. Trust me, I'm super sensitive to tastes & smells.
It seems on this fitness plan, that each week the menu gets a little better, and of course you still get the once a week, "eat anything you've been craving day". Even with that cheat day to look forward to, getting through the week can be hard. We ordered pizza one night for the kiddos, and while I've never been big into pizza, it sure smelled yummy that night while my hubby & I ate our chicken :( like we were supposed to.
Now Thursday night, that was another story....because by Thursday I was sweet potato & green beaned out. I had been having a hard time eating all the food on the plan as it was, as you need your protein to repair your muscles. We just couldn't stomach the balsamic chicken that I made in the crock pot for dinner that night and well the veggies didn't hold us over that long. We had been making the chicken that week just with a little salt & pepper even though it called for balsamic, but when I made it Thursday, it just tasted SO strongly of vinegar. My husband ended up making a run to Five Guys later that night for "dinner", and yes I had the most delicious LBC I've had ;)
However, I felt guilty afterwards.
It seems I wasn't the only one who slipped up this week, as some of the ladies confessed of eating candy bars, fast food, and more. None of which are on the plan, but we are all human and we make mistakes. You have to stay strong and when you slip up, own up & then try harder next time to stay on track. Weight loss & getting & staying fit is a lifestyle change, so it's not going to happen over night.
Temptation is everywhere, especially if you have kids,
work outside the home, or go to the store, the movies,
it's EVERYWHERE!
It's about staying strong and staying focused on the prize,
for me.....it's to feel comfortable in my own skin again.
For you......it could be $10,000 as that is what the person with the most dramatic transformation
will win for this uprising!
Wow that's a lot of money-AND you get healthy, fit, & sexy in the meantime,
that's a no brain-er if you ask me ;)
It's not too late to jump on board, the 3rd week starts Monday, so check it out here & good luck!
Much love

Revolt Blogger ~Week 1~ Checkout What The Bzzz Is All About AND I Lost 5 Pounds!
Hi everyone! I'm just
jumping back into blogging more regularly, as you know I have put Stay At Home
Nation on the back burner for the past several months. Life, health
issues, and family took over on my list of priorities, and I just haven't had the
free time. To put into blogging like I would like to. In fact, I haven't had
much free time period. But isn't that the excuse that most of us make, whether
it be with friends, with work, cleaning, dieting, or anything else I didn't
mention that you may put off. But you have to make time for the things
that are most important to you. With that being said, I want to share with you
a program I just started this week called Revolt- with Nichole Huntsman.
Revolt Now
Fitness makes it possible to lose those extra pounds & tone your body up in
no time. When I was first contacted 2 weeks ago about trying out the
program, I was just finishing my first week on a slow carb diet & was
seeing results but I knew I would have to incorporate some sort of fitness but
didn't really know where to begin. I took a look at the Revolt Now Fitness web page
& was inspired by Nichole's story. (see it here) I could relate to her, with her
being a mother of 4 also and going from heavy to a fit, foxy mama with no flab.
Seriously she has won competitions and I doubt you could pinch any fat on her
if you tried. Not to say I want to be a body builder or even look like one, but
I would like to fit back into my cute clothes instead of them just hanging in
my closet. I want to feel comfortable in my own skin again & be sexy again
from head to toe.
Nichole Huntsman came up with the Revolt program to help anyone, male or
female, on any level, needing weight loss, just to tone, or both. Whether you
need to lose a little or a lot, she has taken the guesswork out of where to
start & what to do to achieve your goals. With the program she gives you a
weekly meal plan, daily workouts, and you even get a cheat day! Every six
weeks starts a new "uprising" which you can start on day one with
everyone else, or you can jump in whenever. Monday starts week 2, so it's not
too late to get on board.
I
am writing this after my first full week on the program & today is actually
my cheat day. While the meal plan this week has not been exciting, it certainly
is better tasting than then alternatives out there. This week was the
sugar detox, which wasn't too hard for me, since I had already detoxed from
sugar the week before on the diet I was doing previously. You do get a lot of
food on the Revolt diet, with eating 5-6 times a day, you may ask how in the
world can I find the time to eat that many times a day? Well it's simple
really, with the meal prep done on Sunday for the whole week, you just grab it
& go. You work out when you can fit it in, which is a 20 minute intense
workout. What I really like is that Nichole is a personal trainer & she has
the videos posted daily on her site & you do them in the comfort of your
own home, or work, or where ever you can fit it in to your schedule. In
her videos, she does it at an intermediate level & pace but you can adjust
it to the level you need. What's great about it though, is that she does all of
the circuits with you so there is no guessing if you did it right or long
enough and she encourages you along the way too, which is nice too! You will
feel the burn! I over did it the first two workouts, and sadly could barely
walk so I had to miss my last two workouts of the week :/
So now
onto my week's progress, I am down 5 lbs this week (I have been under the
weather all week with a cough & cold so not feeling 100%), but overall, I
feel good. I am very pleased about my weight loss so far & am looking
forward to the weeks to come. I think the main tool that has helped me stay on
track, besides that my husband is on the Revolt fitness plan too, is the Facebook community.
Everyone on there is so encouraging & helpful. You are not in this alone,
which helps you stay accountable AND these men & women are all on the same
diet, same workout, same day you are which helps you to not feel left behind
too! :) If you have a question, you can post it on the secure(members only) Facebook page &
you will get an answer quickly, sometimes from Nichole herself as she is very
active in the community.
I am so lucky to have been asked to participate in the Revolt Now Fitness
challenge, and am so looking forward to swimsuit season! I hope you will take
the challenge with me too & know you can always contact me directly with
any questions concerning this or any other posts.
Have a great weekend! I know I am, as my husband & I are dining at a
French Restaurant in Buckhead tonight.....it is cheat day after all
& the kiddies are all with their grandparents tonight ;)
Much love
