- Hi, I'm Cameron (aka Iffy), a stay at home mother to 4 beautiful children. My family is my life! I am not crafty by nature....but I am learning =D I will share my experiences with you(good & bad) with crafts, DIY, cooking, and life. I say what's on my mind, and remain honest, it's just who I am. My Favorite Things Friday Link Party ~ #21 Homemade Gifts
So last year(before I started blogging) I made some homemade Christmas gifts
with the children to give as gifts. It was just something I wanted to
try my hand at. Since we did not have any family traditions of our own yet,
I decided in 2009 that each year the kiddies would give a handmade something
(we did ornaments the past 2 years) to the grandparents
& of course we made some for our tree too.
I will post pictures of them soon as we are decorating the tree this weekend.
So last year I thought that in addition to the ornaments that we would make gifts as well.
As I said it was before I became a blogger, so I did not take pictures but we made
soap(if we do it again I will post a tutorial) this was SOOOO easy & FuN!
We also made scented & colored bath salts - Awesome!
And in a large Mason Jar, we layered the ingredients of a yummy cookie recipe
with the directions on the tag.
So here's what I'm thinking of making for this year
Perhaps Homemade Butterfingers? Gluesticks has a tutorial.
Maybe this adorable Melted Snowman ornament by The Ivy Cottage
Or some cute Holiday Magnets similar to these from Life on Brixton Lane
Also, I am not the best at getting pictures to everyone in the family, so at the
end of the year I make a photo book that recaps
that year and give that as well.
