They are so great because they can be personalized to whatever your child likes.

We added all sorts of crazy teeth & I think they turned out pretty cute.

Giveaway #3~ Springwood Soaps ~NOW CLOSED

This giveaway is now closed.
Thank you to Barbara @ Springwood Soaps, remember if you were not this week's winner, you can still snag 10% off your order by using the code SPRING10 at checkout =D
CONGRATULATIONS to #27 annemarie562000
Thank you for entering & I hope you love it!

I have a fabulous giveaway from Springwood Soaps this week!

Barbara let my try 2 of her soaps & they are wonderful on the skin!
This soap leaves your skin feeling clean & fresh.
My skin was so clean it would've squeaked if it could have.
I thought that feeling was going to end up leaving my skin feeling tight, but after I dried off my skin felt nourished & moisturized. I always put lotion or oil on my skin after my bath or shower but after using this soap I didn't(just to see what happened for reviewing purposes).
My skin felt great! Not rough or dry & no lotion needed.
There is a nice, light scent left on your skin & I really liked it.
I can't wait to try some of the whipped soaps she has to offer like the ones below
These soaps are Vegan & Do not contain any SLS, SLES, parabens or propylene glycol.

Who are they you ask?  They are a husband & wife team that make delectable, moisturizing, and tantalizing soap, whipped soaps and shaving soaps!
(You can read more about the company in the Q&A at the bottom of this post)

Don't these look good enough to eat? Don't really, (remember they are soaps) can you believe it?!?
Now let's see what we have for you...
Thanks to Barbara, one of my lucky readers a $10 gift certificate to use in her shop!
That could easily get you a couple of items. Choose from glycerin soaps, shaving sticks, whips, sugar scrubs & others.
There are so many great scents and these are wonderful for keeping your skin moisturized!
You can use the code SPRING10 to receive 10% off of your purchase.

(Note: All opinions are 100% mine per my review of the product)

Q&A with Springwood Soaps
1-How did you get started?
Actually I got started making soaps because I have always had a lot of trouble with dry skin. Terrible so one day I broke down and decided that it was time to try homemade so after ordering some and realized that there was such a huge difference I then got online to learn all I could about soap and making it. Was very interested to find out just why this soap was so wonderful for the skin compared to commercial. After that I just enjoyed experimenting with it. My husband affectionately calls me the mad scientist because I love to work with different scents and materials to craft that perfect bar of soap! To be honest I haven’t been back to commercial soaps and I no longer suffer from such dry skin and rarely use lotion now.
2-What are your favorite materials or colors to use?
I love the shea , goats milk, and olive oil bases that we use. They are wonderful to work with and I am so excited to finally find the perfect supplier with the perfect base! Took me a long time of researching and trying new bases to get the quality that I love! I love to work with different colors and the incorporate them perfectly with the scent that is chosen. Steve is the master of mixing the perfect colors to get such creative kinds of soaps for our shop!
3-What does handmade mean to you?
Handmade is putting your blood, sweat and tears into something that will be treasured by generations to come.

Happy Father's Day!! Cute & Easy Last Minute Card for Dad

Happy Father's Day to the awesome father's out there! Especially to my husband,
my dad, my brother, my "Papa"& my father-in-law.
Look at this cute & easy card for Dad, Grandpa, or any father you know & love.
I was inspired by one I saw on Kiboomu
I made some of these for my 20month old, Michaela, & my 2 yr old  nephew to give
the "fathers in their lives".
It's great for little ones who can't write yet since it gives such a personal touch.
First trace a hand onto construction paper(or craft paper)
Fold it over and cut out.
Now you have 2 hands.(I did this 3 times so grandfathers get one too)
Cut a long strip of paper and write your message of "I love you this much!!"
Glue the back of the end(right side) to one of your cut out paper hands
then accordion fold it and when you get to the end of the left side,
glue that to the other hand.
I used white elmer's glue.
Hold them to dry for a minute and then open them to dry the rest of the way.
I made the mistake of keeping them closed to dry and when  I opened them they were stuck....
I had to tear them some to open all the way. (Learn from my mistake)

Write your message on the front & the inside of your hands however you like.
I like to put the year on my cards, so on these I put it on the back.
So simple, & so cute. Now go make some with your kiddies to give to dad =D

I'm off to make a coconut cake for my husband so he can enjoy it after dinner.

Much love

DIY Tile Coasters & My Favorite Things Link Party~ #3

So Father's Day is Sunday, have you made something for the "fathers" in your life yet?
If not, here is a simple yet useful craft gift that you still have time to make.
DIY Tile Coasters-great idea right?
Perfect for even the hardest man to give to.
I came across this idea over at living with lindsay
she has a really great blog you should check out if you haven't already.

I didn't take pictures through the process because,
well I made them before I started blogging so
check out lindsay's tutorial here for more details & great tips!

Basically,
Paint your tiles with a layer of ModPodge
then lay your craft paper(which is cut slightly smaller than your tiles) ontop,
smooth down & let dry.
Then apply your ModPodge top coats(personal preference as to how many).
Stick felt pads to corners of underside &
you're done!
A fabulous gift your dad, husband, or any other father you know will sure to love.

Idiotic Doctors

I have been having some pretty major back pain for the past 4 months
& decided to do something about it about 5 weeks ago.
The pain has been progressively getting worse and
my wonderful chiropractor hasn't been able to give much relief this time.
So after the past 7 weeks of breath taking severe pain when getting out of bed in the mornings,
I went to an orthopedic doctor.
He sent me for an MRI,
but the dummy of a Dr
(Dominion Orthopedics Dr Steenlage) not to name any names)
ordered it for the wrong area of my back.
$135 for nothing, as the radiologist saw nothing conclusive.....hmmm wonder why?

So my Chiropractor sent me for an MRI of the middle of my back as that is where my pain is and
turns out I have a thoracic herniated disc.
From what I am finding it's not too common like 1 in a million.
The cervical & lumbar are where herniated discs tend to happen.
Leave it up to me though to have not so typical things happen.

So now I am looking for a Dr to see what my treatment options are.
Be patient with my posts as I am not running at 100% and cannot sit at the computer, or stand or lay down actually for extended periods of time.
Keep your fingers crossed for me that everything gets resolved quickly & completely.
XoXo
